Masked Villain Speaks for The First Time in New ‘Acolyte’ Teaser
The Acolyte promo footage has been revealing more and more in the build up to the series premiere on June 4 and this gives some dialogue to a mysterious villain.
The latest promo, titled “Awake”, sees a distorted voice who must surely be the masked red-lightsaber-wielding villain, speak to Mae.
He says the following, while an unnamed character yells “Stand down!” and Amandla Stenberg’s character shouts “I didn’t do it!” once again:
The Jedi live in a dream.
But an Acolyte… can break the dream.
This is over footage of Sol, Jecki and Yondar following Amandla Stenberg’s character through an icy cave, an image of a broken lightsaber sticking out of the dirt with its kyber crystal exposed, more footage of Kelnacca brandishing his green lightsaber, a brief shot of Mother Aniseya making some sort of ritualistic gesture, two Jedi zipping through a forest on speeder bikes and finally, a shot of Amandla Stenberg face to face with the masked figure, a red lightsaber between them.
