Adria Arjona Talks About Time Gap Between Episodes in ‘Andor’ Season 2

Adria Arjona’s getting asked a few questions about Andor season 2 while promoting her new film Hit Man, and this time she’s spoken about the structure of the season — specifically, the length of time that passes between each episode. She also confirmed that the season will take Cassian Andor’s story right up to the events of Rogue One.

Speaking to Collider, she reaffirmed what has been reported previously in that there will be a time jump of roughly one year every three episodes. On top of that though, she went into a bit more detail about the work she had to do to make it feel like a significant period of time has passed for her character Bix without the aid of ageing prosthetics and make up.

“In between every three episodes, there’s a year, and then there’s three more episodes, then a year, and then three more. So, you’re seeing the evolution of these characters through such a large span of time, and I’ve never done that.

“It’s not like you’re aging 10 years, so you can’t even act it to the point where you’ll have prosthetics, or you can’t quite hide behind masks. You’re aging subtly, and I’m a very different person than I was last year, but to many other people, I might not be. So, it was really tricky and interesting to get to those places and find where Bix sort of shifts a little bit.”

She was also asked what it was like working with Tony Gilroy, and she was effusive in her praise for Andor‘s showrunner.

“Tony Gilroy is one of the most brilliant minds I have ever had the honor of picking. The structure for Season 2 was one that I’ve never heard anyone do before. It takes a course of time to get to right before Rogue One . He had a whole season to get to the end of Rogue One, and he’s like, ‘How am I going to do it?”

We’ll probably have to wait another year for Andor season 2. It was originally slated to release this year, but was pushed back to 2025 after last year’s strikes. Current rumors suggest that it will drop in the first half of 2025.
