Viz Media Announces New ‘The High Republic: The Edge of Balance’ Manga Featuring Yoda
The High Republic: The Edge of Balance Volume 3 is coming in August, but that will not be the last chapter in the ongoing manga. Spring 2025 will feature not one, but two new entries in the series. Publisher Viz Media has announced one of the two as The Edge of Balance: Premonition, along with key art featuring Yoda. Story and script will be done by Daniel José Older with art from Haining.

There is no official release date yet, but a now defunct Amazon listing had it dated for April 8, 2025, two weeks before The Edge of Balance Volume 4 is set for release on April 22. If this is the first you’re hearing of Volume 4, here’s the synopsis:

The High Republic publishing initiative’s manga follows Jedi Knight Lily Tora-Asi, Master Arkoff, and others as they fight the Nihil and other dangers on Banchii. Volume 3, releasing August 13, teases that Banchii holds secrets that have yet to be uncovered. Now with Yoda throwing his hat into the ring next year, everything else is getting thrown out the window — especially after the game-changing cliffhanger in Temptation of the Force.
