Hot Toys Unleashes the Power of the Dark Side with Revan, Starkiller, and More

Hot Toys kicked off their Power of the Dark Side tour in explosive fashion this week with the announcement of multiple new figures in their Star Wars line, including their first ever figures based on Legends characters.

First to be revealed on Monday was one half of Doctor Aphra’s murderous droid duo, BT-1.

“Bleeep! Bleeep! Bleep!”

A hostile astromech droid, BT-1™ (Beetee) works with Doctor Aphra™ alongside the protocol droid 0-0-0 on destructive missions. The black metal-plated droid is heavily armed with flamethrowers and other destructive weapons.

Droids hold a special place in the hearts of Star Wars fanatics, as the mechanical beings have become the beloved characters within the Star Wars™ galaxy, and today, Hot Toys is excited to officially introduce the new 1/6th scale collectible figure of BT-1™ inspired by the classic comics!

The amazing collectible figure is specially crafted with a meticulously crafted dome-shaped head, a highly detailed mechanical construction body with a retractable middle leg. It also comes with attachable weapons such as blaster cannon, missile and rocket launchers.

Don’t pass up on this opportunity to enhance your Star Wars collection with the remarkable blastomech droid!

The evil astromech comes complete with multiple weapons, retractable middle leg, and a nice metallic paint job. But sadly, unlike Hot Toys’ recently released R2-D2, BT-1 does not feature lights or sounds. I get that sounds don’t really apply here, though it would have been pretty cool to get a canon voice for BT-1, but seeing that red “eye” light up would have been a really nice effect for them to have included.

Next up was Lord Starkiller, Vader’s secret apprentice as he appeared in the dark side ending and DLC from The Force Unleashed.

As Darth Vader’s Force-sensitive secret apprentice in the Legends, Starkiller is an incredibly compelling, complex character with devastating Force powers and the ability to dual-wield Lightsabers™. Starkiller cuts a swath through deadly new enemies across exciting worlds from the Star Wars™ galaxy — all in his desperate search for answers to his past.

Celebrate the dark side of the Star Wars galaxy, Hot Toys is thrilled to present the new 1/6th scale Lord Starkiller™ collectible figure inspired by the deadly character in his Sith armor!

The highly-accurate collectible figure features meticulously crafted helmet and armor, specially tailored body suit, LED light-up Lightsaber™ powered by USB, and a display base!

The SPECIAL EDITION available in selected markets, comes with a Lord Starkiller commemorative coin to enhance your collecting experience! In addition, this coin will have a unique style that is exclusive to those who pre-order this figure at Hot Toys x “Star Wars: The Power of The Dark Side” exhibition in Hong Kong.

Embrace the dark side and add this stunning figure into your collection!

Starkiller was definitely a surprise pick for one of the first Legends figures but this version of the character definitely fits with Hot Toys’ Power of the Dark Side event and there’s no denying that the tailoring on this figure is impressive and he’d be an intimidating presence on any collector’s shelf. The Sith Lords comes with one LED powered light up lightsaber hilt, along with two standard lightsaber hilts, two red blades, and two red motion blades for all the dynamic poses you can think of. A special edition, available at select retailers, will also feature a Power of the Darkside coin.

Saving the best for last, Hot Toys finished the first day with the debut of one of the most popular Legends characters – Darth Revan.

In Star Wars™ legends, Revan who was once a Jedi turned his back on the Jedi Order and became an enigmatic Sith Dark Lord, forming a Sith Empire that waged war against the Jedi Order and Galactic Republic.

Ever since the character’s first introduction, many fans were captivated by Revan and his story. Today, Hot Toys is excited to officially introduce the highly anticipated 1/6th scale Darth Revan™ collectible figure!

The greatly detailed collectible figure features skillfully developed helmet and armor, specially tailored hooded costume, two LED light-up Lightsabers™ powered by USB, and a display base!

The SPECIAL EDITION available in selected markets, comes with a Darth Revan commemorative coin to enhance your collecting experience! In addition, this coin will have a unique style that is exclusive to those who pre-order this figure at Hot Toys x “Star Wars: The Power of The Dark Side” exhibition in Hong Kong.

Give in to the dark side and have this amazing collectible figure in your Star Wars display!

Honestly, this is definitely my favorite of the Dark Side event reveals. Even without a face sculpt, the level of detail in this figure is simply stunning. The detailing on the armor, including the subtle battle damage and weathering, is fantastic and the way it combines with the soft goods of the robes just gives the figure an incredible look deserving of this iconic character.

Revan comes with the standard assortment of changeable hands, a display base, along with two LED powered lightsaber hilts, two standard lightsaber hilts, standard purple and red blades, and motion purple and red blades. A special edition, available at select retailers, will also feature a Power of the Darkside coin.

Day two of Hot Toys’ Power of the Dark Side reveals began with BT-1’s evil counterpart, protocol droid 0-0-0.

0-0-0, also known as Triple-Zero, was a protocol droid that specialized in etiquette, customs, translation and torture. He was awoken by Doctor Aphra and Darth Vader, and conduct missions for the two alongside his fellow droid and companion BT-1.

Marking the official kick-off of Hot Toys “Star Wars: The Power of the Dark Side” Exhibition in Hong Kong, and the beginning of Hot Toys worldwide Star Wars events, we are excited to introduce a series of collectibles based on the villainous characters from the dark side and present the new 1/6th scale 0-0-0™ collectible figure for all Star Wars™ fans! This is a Hot Toy Exclusive item available with limited quantity of 2,000 pieces only in selected markets.

The 1/6th scale collectible figure is made with diecast metal material and features detailed mechanical design, skillfully applied metallic paint applications, LED light-up eyes, interchangeable hands for iconic poses, and a figure base.

Celebrate the dark side with the new 0-0-0 collectible figure in your collection today! It will be firstly on-shelf on April 27 in selected markets!

It’s very rare that Hot Toys reveal a figure and it ships right away but that’s what’s happening here, and with the rest of the day two reveals! Triple-Zero will be available in person at the Power of the Dark Side event in Hong Kong this weekend and shipping from Sideshow beginning next month.

Diecast metal, LED eyes, Hot Toys have certainly pulled out all the stops for this one. Triple-Zero comes with a selection of hands, featuring his murderous tools of the trade, along with the standard Star Wars base. The only down side of this figure is that it’s a limited edition exclusive. Whilst this was likely the cost of having the figure available to launch the event with, I can’t help but feel it was a very odd choice to make Triple-Zero an exclusive and BT-1 a wide release as most fans will want this deadly duo as a pair. And, at time of writing, Triple-Zero is already sold out at Sideshow.

The next reveal was a classic trilogy Stormtrooper with Death Star Environment.

Stormtroopers are elite shock troops fanatically loyal to the Empire and impossible to sway from the Imperial cause. They wear imposing white armor, which offers a wide range of survival equipment and temperature controls to allow the soldiers to survive in almost any environment. Stormtroopers wield blaster rifles and pistols and attack in hordes to overwhelm their enemies.

To celebrate the Hot Toys “Star Wars: The Power of the Dark Side” Exhibition in Hong Kong, and the unveiling of Hot Toys worldwide Star Wars events, today we are excited to present a collectible for devoted fans: the 1/6th scale Stormtrooper™ Collectible Figure, representing one of the most iconic soldiers from the Star Wars saga.

The collectible figure features a highly detailed stormtrooper helmet and armor with great articulations, skillfully applied paint applications, a fabric under-suit, a blaster rifle, and a LED light-up Death Star wall panel environmental backdrop!

Build up your Imperial army by recruiting this new 1/6th scale Stormtrooper collectible figure in your collection! It will be firstly on-shelf on April 27 in selected markets!

Whilst a re-release isn’t as exciting as the previous reveals, it’s always nice to make the saga’s most iconic trooper available every now and then.

The final reveal for day two was the chrome edition of Commander Cody.

Clone Commander Cody was a loyal clone trooper serving the Galactic Republic during the Clone Wars. Cody was often under the command of General Obi-Wan Kenobi, leading Ghost Squadron, and served with him and Anakin Skywalker at Geonosis, Christophsis and during a nearly disastrous campaign on Cato Neimoidia.

To commemorate the Hot Toys “Star Wars: The Power of the Dark Side” Exhibition begins this weekend in Hong Kong, and the kick-off of Hot Toys worldwide Star Wars events, we are pleased to introduce a new special displayable variant of the 1/6th scale Commander Cody™ collectible figure in silver chrome color as Hot Toys exclusive release with limited quantity of 2,500 only available in select markets.

This collectible figure features meticulously crafted Commander Cody’s armor and helmet, beautifully applied silver chrome deco, an interchangeable phase 2 helmet, a fabric bodysuit, a jetpack, two styles of blasters, and a figure base!

This special variant Commander Cody 1/6th scale collectible figure will be an excellent highlight in your Star Wars™ collection! It will be firstly on-shelf on April 27 in selected markets!

This figure, to me, makes far more sense as an exclusive. It’s a figure that looks cool but, unlike Triple-Zero, isn’t something most fans would consider essential. This version of Cody includes both his Phase I and Phase II helmets.

And that wrapped up the second day of Hot Toys’ Power of the Dark Side reveals.

Hot Toys also recently revealed the next figure in their Ahsoka line – Anakin Skywalker (Clone Wars). This figure features the Chosen One as he appeared to Ahsoka during her journey through the World Between Worlds, bringing Anakin’s look from the animated The Clone Wars into live action. First teased when Hot Toys revealed their Ahsoka Tano (Padawan) figure, Anakin looks fantastic alongside his young apprentice and loyal Captain Rex.

“This is war, Ahsoka.” – Anakin Skywalker

As the Star Wars Clone Wars had begun, Jedi became generals and commanders in the war against the Separatists. Aware of Anakin’s shortcomings and his tendency to forge strong emotional attachments, Yoda assigned Anakin a Padawan learner: Ahsoka Tano. Yoda hoped that Skywalker would learn how to let go of his student as she grew, which was key for Anakin. While Anakin bristled at first to this appointment, a strong bond grew between teacher and student. They had many adventures together, and as Ahsoka matured, so did Anakin.

Hot Toys is excited to present today, the brand new 1/6th scale Anakin Skywalker™ collectible figure based on his Clone Wars appearance in the World Between Worlds as seen in the Ahsoka live-action series.

The greatly detailed collectible figure features a brand-new head sculpt with amazing likeness, separate rolling eyeballs to adjust the eyesight and detailed hair sculpture, expertly tailored Jedi general outfit, a LED light-up Lightsaber™ powered by USB, a variety of accessories, and a sand themed display base!
Do not miss the chance to have this astonishing Anakin Skywalker™ collectible figure in your collection!

As with most of the Ahsoka line, the headsculpt is fantastic and does an amazing job at in capturing the likeness of Hayden Christensen and features movable eyes to make any pose more realistic. The figure comes with both standard and LED lightsaber hilts, and standard and motion blades, along with some new blaster deflection effects that will hopefully look really good when combined with the light-up hilt.

Darth Revan, Lord Starkiller, BT-1, Stormtrooper, and Anakin Skywalker are available now from Sideshow and other retailers. Triple-Zero and Commander Cody (Chrome Version) are Sideshow Exclusive within the US. Links and galleries for all are below.
